De acordo com o estudo, pessoas que tiveram a COVID-19 de forma assintomática ou com sintomas moderados, podem sofrer uma reinfecção e no segundo contágio, a resposta corporal inflamatória será mais intensa e com sintomas mais fortes.
Os pesquisadores dizem ainda que, os sintomas serão mais fortes mesmo que não se trata das novas variantes como a Amazônica P1 ou das cepas.
A pesquisa feita com pacientes que sofreram reinfecções no Rio de Janeiro, mostra que no segundo contágio, os pacientes desenvolveram sintomas mais agudos.
De acordo com os pesquisadores, o dado “derruba a ideia de que a reinfecção só ocorre devido às novas variantes como a P.1, a B.1.1.9 (originado no Reino Unido) e a B.1351 (de origem na África do Sul).”
Os pesquisadores alertam sobre a necessidade de manutenção das medidas de contenção do vírus, como uso de máscaras, higienização das mãos, distanciamento social.
Atenção aos sintomas leves a moderados da COVID-19
Em média, os sintomas aparecem após 5 ou 6 dias depois de ser infectado com o vírus. No entanto, isso pode levar até 14 dias.
- Febre, tosse seca, cansaço.
- Dores e desconfortos; dor de garganta; diarreia; conjuntivite; dor de cabeça; perda de paladar ou olfato.
- Erupção cutânea na pele ou descoloração dos dedos das mãos ou dos pés.
