Seguro DPVAT indenizou mais de 68 mil pedestres por invalidez permanente em 2019
São Paulo lidera o ranking de indenizações pagas para pedestres com invalidez.

O Dia Internacional da Pessoa com Deficiência foi celebrado na terça-feira (03/12) e alerta para a importância da conscientização sobre igualdade de oportunidades para todos.
Segundo os dados divulgados pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), 6,7% da população tem algum tipo de deficiência. Os números do Seguro DPVAT mostram que os acidentes de trânsito envolvendo pedestres têm grande participação nestas estatísticas. De janeiro a outubro deste ano, o seguro obrigatório indenizou mais de 68 mil pessoas que circulavam a pé no momento da ocorrência e ficaram com algum tipo de invalidez permanente. O número representa 77% do total de pagamentos destinados a vítimas pedestres.
As motocicletas foram responsáveis pela maioria dos acidentes com sequelas definitivas envolvendo pedestres, somando mais de 48 mil pagamentos. Na sequência, estão os automóveis (16.123); caminhões e pick-ups (2.739); ônibus, micro-ônibus e vans (1.423); e ciclomotores (313).
As estatísticas do Seguro DPVAT ainda mostram que os jovens são os mais atingidos. Do total de sinistros pagos para pedestres vítimas de invalidez permanente em função de acidente de trânsito, 28.286 foram para pessoas com idade entre 18 e 34 anos, que formam população economicamente ativa. A segunda faixa etária mais afetada é de 45 a 64 anos, concentrando mais de 17 mil pagamentos.
A análise por estado indica que São Paulo lidera o ranking de indenizações pagas para pedestres com invalidez. De janeiro a outubro, foram 6.141 pagamentos na região. Minas Gerais (5.811), Goiás (5.515), Mato Grosso (5.090) e Ceará (4.915) completam, respectivamente, a lista dos cinco primeiros colocados.
Nos últimos 10 anos, cerca de 4 milhões de vítimas de acidentes de trânsito foram indenizadas pelo Seguro DPVAT em todo o país. A partir do histórico de dados da Seguradora Líder, é possível projetar um cenário de como será o próximo ano sem a existência do seguro de acidente de trânsito, usando modelos estatísticos aplicados em previsões de séries temporais. Caso seja extinto, mais de 300 mil pessoas perderão o direito ao seguro apenas em 2020.
O estudo indica, ainda, que serão mais de 38 mil casos de vítimas fatais no trânsito e mais de 205 mil pessoas que ficariam com alguma sequela permanente depois de um acidente.
