Praça do Forró em São Miguel tem programação temática
Marcelo Jeneci, Falamansa e Rastapé estão entre as atrações gratuitas na Praça do Forró
No final de semana dos dias 18 e 19 de dezembro, a Praça do Forró, no bairro de São Miguel, recebe uma programação extensa com música e dança para ninguém ficar parado. Em homenagem ao Dia do Forró, comemorado em 13 de dezembro (dia do nascimento de Luiz Gonzaga), a Secretaria Municipal de Cultura traz nomes como Marcelo Jeneci, Falamansa e Rastapé até o extremo leste da cidade, ocupando esse tradicional cantinho nordestino na capital.
A festa começa no sábado às 10h, com Fabinho Zabumbão, e encerra no domingo com show de Falamansa a partir das 21h. Entre os dois, uma seleção de veteranos e jovens artistas se revezam na praça com compassos de pé de serra, xote, baião e muito mais. No sábado, o grupo Bicho de Pé traz Marcelo Jeneci para homenagear gigantes como Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Fagner e Zé Ramalho. Também é no sábado que se apresenta Jorge de Altinho, parceiro de Gonzaga nos anos 80 com mais de 40 anos de estrada.
No domingo, é a vez do sanfoneiro Enok Virgulino – ícone do forró nos anos 90 com o Trio Virgulino -, que embala o público a partir das 17h10 em carreira solo. Às 20h, o grupo Rastapé se une à cantora e produtora musical Janayna Pereira, que comandou a Banda Bicho de Pé durante 18 anos. Nos dois dias, o projeto Forró dos Ratos faz a discotecagem entre as atrações.
“Um dia para comemorar essa tradição é muito pouco”, declara a Secretária Municipal de Cultura, Aline Torres. “Por isso, planejamos um fim de semana inteiro para essa festividade. Escolhemos um palco muito especial, a Praça do Forró, que fica nas bordas da cidade, num espaço que traz um pouco do sol nordestino para a terra da garoa.”
Praça do Forró
A cantora Neide Gara-Pé, que se apresenta no domingo, tem uma relação especial com o local das comemorações. Ela é filha de Luiz de Nazaré – fundador da Praça do Forró, e lembra nitidamente de quando tudo começou: “Era final de 1982, começo de 1983 quando meu pai puxou o primeiro pontinho de luz para tocar naquela praça”. Ela tinha 12 anos na época e viu nascer ali uma longa carreira musical.
O empenho dele foi tão grande que, com o apoio da Subprefeitura, em cerca de seis meses o local (chamado Praça Padre Aleixo Monteiro Mafra) ganhou o título de Praça do Forró. Desde então, Nazaré e os filhos passaram mais de nove anos tocando, cantando e trazendo artistas de diversos estilos para se apresentarem todos os sábados. Entre os frequentadores assíduos, estava ninguém menos que Dominguinhos.
“Aquela praça é muito importante para a comunidade”, reflete Neide. “Tem pessoas que se casaram, que se conheceram, que se reencontraram depois de muitos anos ali, sob o ritmo do forró”. E completa: “Meu pai dizia que o forró tinha o poder de alegrar o povo, especialmente num bairro como São Miguel, ocupado por tantos nordestinos saudosos de sua terra”. Agora, ela e o irmão Cicinho Silva tentam manter vivo o projeto do pai.
Pausa para a missa
A praça é vizinha da Capela de São Miguel Arcanjo e, desde sua fundação como Praça do Forró, um acordo muito especial tem sido mantido entre os dois espaços: a programação tradicionalmente começava após a missa ou os casamentos, e Nazaré sempre incentivou o público a frequentar a Igreja e respeitar o silêncio durante suas cerimônias. Por isso, neste fim de semana, as atrações seguirão a tradição e serão interrompidas nos horários de missa.
